Sales Representative (Bilingual FR & EN)

 We are looking for a self-motivated Sales Representative and Product Line manager to join our team. Working in a hybrid work environment your primary responsibility is to generate sales and drive revenue growth for Comtest by promoting our products and services directly to potential customers within Canada. Your role is to quickly establish long-lasting relationships with new customers, and maintain positive relationships with existing customers while achieving and hopefully exceeding assigned sales targets. 

The ideal candidate will be an outgoing, tech savvy individual with an understanding of the telecommunications and fibre optics industry. We are looking for someone who is motivated to take initiative to achieve and exceed sales targets. This is an excellent opportunity for a determined and ambitious individual to skillfully impact our company’s growth and success.

Job Responsibilities

  • Develop a deep understanding of Comtest’s products and services, the features and benefits, and promote Comtest’s competitive advantages 
  • Effectively communicate and provide quotes to potential customers in either preferred language French or English 
  • Forecast future sales potential and document sale funnel progress with our CRM software including documenting customer requests and answer customer inquiries 
  • Continuously enhance your sales skills, product and service knowledge, with the ability to translate that knowledge into increased sales, generate new customers, and provide support for existing customers. 
  • Travel to customer sites for sales development and new products introductions. 
  • Travel to customer sites provide post sales product training and education. 

 Education, Expertise and Requirements 

  • 1-3 years of sales and/or marketing experience 
  • Knowledge of Telecommunication and Fibre Optics infrastructures, and related technologies 
  • Proven ability to meet and exceed targets 
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and competitive market 
  • Working knowledge and experience with computer and web-based applications – Microsoft 365, Goldmine CRM, QuoteWerks and various other software.
  • Ability to travel during the assigned work schedule as needed. A valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle are necessary. Valid passport with no travel restrictions.  

Skills, Knowledge & Abilities 

  • Persuasive negotiation skills, outgoing personality, friendly, self-confident – a relationship builder with the ability to build connections and engage customers effectively in face-to-face as well as email and phone interactions 
  • Self-motivated, proactive and able to work independently 
  • Strong presentation, time management and organizational skills 
  • Must possess effective bilingual business communication and writing skills
